LIFE DRAWING STARTS BACK on the 10th of FEBRUARY
Life drawing classes every Thursday night 7pm to 10pm during the School Terms. Drawing equipment supplied. Bring your own mediums and materials that you prefer, different pose each week lasting 3 hours with 10 min breaks every 20 min which will give you time to complete a major artwork …..for those who want to do quick sketches feel free to rotate around the model.no photography allowed. Free constructive advice given if needed from the participating artists. For Non-Members cost $15.00 per night, For Members $10.00 per night.

Hi Danni thanks for the fleshy modelling offer. I will need a Ruben’s model as I have been invited by the manager of community TV. Channel 31 to do a series of 13 episodes on life drawing in which I will be demonstrating different mediums with different models, only problem is identity exposure on TV which can be overcome by concealing your face within the pose. So if you feel comfortable with this offer we will talk about it at further lengths. Why hide that Mona Lisa smile from the world? Cheers Sur James
sounds like a great idea Sur James! congrats…sounds like a great program. As for modelling , if you need me l’m there , as for my identity being discovered ( ooo how cloak and dagger) l’m not worried by that at all …l’ll be telling everyone l know to watch! But how is channel 31 going to broadcast a show that has dangly bits in it? will there be pixilation or little black dots hahaha….l do have quite the range of costumes and wispy bits of drapery if there is a risk of offending/blinding anyone in tv land. Will see you soon and talk some more.
I have never done Life Drawing before, but have always been interested in trying. I was thinking I might come along to one of your sessions next week, March 4th, with my little sketch book and just some pencils to start.
Do I need to enrol formally, or can I just come along to a session with my $15 and give it a go to see how I like it?
just come along Sandi , Sur James will be there to welcome you and show you around.There are easels and drawing boards for use as well as some basic materials that you can purchase from James if needed. Or you can set yourself up at a table and chair if you prefer. Have fun.
